Meet the owner

Ryan Hilburn, third generation.

Owner · Lead OSHA instructor · MITCO dealer

My grandfather started Dixie Lift Truck in 1975. My dad ran it for 30 years. I grew up in this shop. Today we operate as Mid-South Lift, LLC — still independent, still family-owned, still in the same building at 114 Catalina Drive. We've kept the old-school techniques that save customers time, and added modern tools where they actually help. Call us. I usually pick up.

What customers say

Trusted by fleets across the Upstate.

50 years of repeat business says more than any sales pitch. Here's what a few of our customers have shared.

Ryan's team had us back up and running in under three hours. We've used the big chains before — nobody else moves like that.

Operations Manager · [Company] · Greenville

The mobile tire press saved our day. They pressed all four tires in our parking lot — we never had to load the forklift on a trailer.

Our last OSHA inspection passed clean because Ryan's training was thorough. He certified every operator on three different lift types in one afternoon.

Common questions

Quick answers to what people ask.

What is your service area?
We serve an 85-mile radius from Greenville, SC, within South Carolina only. That covers the Upstate (Greenville, Spartanburg, Anderson, Greer, Easley) and reaches as far east as Columbia and Rock Hill. We don't service outside South Carolina or east of Columbia.
How quickly can a tech get to my facility?
For emergency down equipment, we typically dispatch same-day — often within 2 to 4 hours depending on location. Scheduled service is usually within 3 business days. Call 864-436-0378 to confirm current availability.
What brands of forklifts do you service?
All major brands: Toyota, Hyster, Yale, Crown, Clark, Caterpillar/CAT, Komatsu, Mitsubishi, Raymond, Linde, Jungheinrich, and more. We're independent, so we're not locked to a single manufacturer. We also service skid steers, compact track loaders, tractors, excavators, front-end loaders, and platform/scissor/boom lifts.
Do you really do mobile tire pressing?
Yes — our mobile tire press truck comes to your facility and installs press-on forklift tires directly on your equipment. No transporting your forklift to a shop. Available with any tire purchase throughout our 85-mile service radius.
How long is OSHA forklift certification good for?
Three years per OSHA 29 CFR 1910.178. Re-certification is also required after any accident, near-miss, observed unsafe operation, change in equipment type, or change in operating environment. We can re-certify your operators on-site.
Do you charge a diagnostic fee?
We give you a clear quote before any work begins. Standard service-call rates apply for mobile visits — call 864-436-0378 for current pricing in your area.
What's the difference between MITCO Solid Solver and GS Solid Pneumatic?
Solid Solver is 100% natural rubber for longer life and lower rolling resistance — great for high-use indoor operations. The GS Solid Pneumatic has 3-stage construction with a deep lug tread for outdoor environments and rough surfaces. Tell us your application and we'll recommend the right one.
